You're a dirty old crow
you're a pretty little dove
and there's nowhere I'd rather be
Than sitting on a fence with my eyes full of stars
and you looking over at me
I'll be counting my blessings when the winter comes
I'll be warm under your soft wing
but if you left this nest, I'd be in a mess
I wouldn't have the will to sing
You're a sweet little critter
you're a worm hole digger
and there's nowhere I'd rather be
than sitting on a fence with my eyes full of stars
and you looking over at me
Well, if I gave you a reason to fly away
I know you'd find the wind
to carry you back to my rundown nest
and be my little dove again
There's a bluejay flying from tree to tree
there's a gull flying out to sea
but if they had the love of a pretty white dove
if they could ever know a dirty old crow
they'd be flying in circles like me!
